With the support from Sweden’s innovation agency Vinnova, Invest Stockholm has started an urban farming project in Högdalen in the south part of Stockholm. With help from experts from the Royal Institute of Technology and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, the project will analyze vacant real estate properties and propose suitable farming systems for these properties. The aim is to develop ecologically, socially and commercially sustainable investment models. A pilot project for urban farming will be initiated during the course of 2017.
