Stokab, Stockholm city’s IT infrastructure company, is now expanding its open access fiber network, which is the largest open fiber network in the world, to commercial properties in the outskirts of the capital.

As the demand for more bandwidth continues to increase with new IT services and interconnected systems, broadband is no longer just a matter of being able to connect to the internet. Companies, systems and services are dependent on high bandwidth to handle data transfers, phone services, surveillance and security, automatic building- and process control systems and much more. The expansion of the fiber network creates a new IT infrastructure, and new opportunities for property owners and companies in the commercial areas of the city.
